Convention FAQ

Please check here regularly… if we find we are being asked the same questions often, we will update the answers here.

Q: Should I bring my Costume/Outfit I usually perform in?"

A: We will have an onsite photographer available for taking pictures. This might be the perfect time to get some great shots for your portfolio. So, yes!  Bring your costumes and props and get some great photos.

Q: What if I have Children that might like to attend? Is there a minimum age?

A: 16 is the minimum age for registration. (Younger registrants (12 and up) who are accompanied by registered parents at the convention will be allowed. And must pay the full registration rate.)

Q: What about video cameras? Can I tape classes?

A: No. Some of the instructors have DVD's and/or lecture notes for sale. You may take still photos when it doesn't interrupt the class but no videos please.

Q: May I shop in the vendor's room without registering?

A: There is a great one day rate for the convention. If you just want to shop, then you must pay a one day registration fee to be allowed into the vendor's room or any of the classes. Of course a full registration will also give you access to the vendor’s room. People who only register for one of the Pre-Convention Workshops will also have access to the convention on Friday only.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: A notebook, pens or pencils, cash or credit cards for shopping, your imagination, and a sense of humour. Clothing and personal care items would be appreciated by the other registrants.

Q: What is the hotel like?

A: The Best Western Brantford has undergone recent renovations and looks great! To see pictures and get more information, go to: www.bestwesternbrantford.com
